Frosted Glass Privacy Policy
For the Android app Frosted Glass (home screen launcher), package com.morocode.glasslauncher.
Effective 25 October 2026. Published by Morocode LLC.
The short version. Frosted Glass keeps everything on your phone. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any of your information, because none of it ever reaches us. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics or tracking of any kind inside the app.
Who we are
Morocode LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States, publishes Frosted Glass on Google Play. Our registered address is 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. You can reach us at support@morocode.com about anything in this policy.
What the app holds, and where
Frosted Glass stores the following on your device, in storage that belongs to the app and that other apps cannot read:
- Your home screen: which apps, folders, widgets and shortcuts are on which page, the dock, hidden apps and the names or icons you changed.
- What you type into its own widgets: notes, reminders and countdowns.
- The wallpaper you choose: a copy of the photo you picked, kept inside the app.
- How often you open each app from the home screen, a simple count kept on your phone, used only to suggest apps and to sort your most used apps first when you ask it to.
- Your own settings: look, glass, gestures and the rest.
All of it stays on the phone. It is not transmitted, and we have no way to see it.
Notification access, in plain terms
If you allow it, Android's notification access lets the launcher read the notifications on your phone, to show the red badges on app icons, the Notification Center, the music controls and the reply box. They are read on your phone, shown to you, and never stored, copied or uploaded. You can take the access back at any time in Android's settings.
What we collect
Nothing about you. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics or tracking of any kind inside the app. Everything listed above stays on your phone.
What leaves your phone, and when
The app goes online only for these, and only when you use them:
- Weather widget. If you add it and allow approximate location, the app asks Open-Meteo, a free weather service, for the forecast of your area. It sends only coordinates rounded to about one kilometre, nothing that identifies you. Android's own place-name lookup turns them into the town name shown on the widget.
- Glass Wallpapers gallery. When you open it, the app downloads the list of wallpapers and the pictures from our own server. The request carries no personal information; like any web server, ours records the address of the connection in its logs, kept for security for at most 30 days and never used to identify or follow anyone.
- Web search. When you choose to search the web from the search screen, your words are handed to your browser, which opens the search engine's page. The app itself sends nothing.
We do not sell, share or hand over any information, because we do not hold any about you.
Google Play
The app is distributed through Google Play, and two things there involve Google rather than us:
- Crash and performance reports. Google Play collects these from Android devices for every app, under your own Android and Google account settings, not ours. They tell us how often the app crashed. They contain no content from inside the app.
- The review prompt. When the app offers you Google Play's rating sheet, that sheet is Google's, and anything you write in it goes to Google Play, not to us.
Both are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Permissions, and why
- Notification access (optional) for badges, the Notification Center, music controls and replying from a notification, as explained above.
- Approximate location (optional) only for the Weather widget's forecast.
- Calendar (optional) only to show your next events in the Calendar widget.
- Bluetooth (optional) only to show the battery of your earbuds in the Batteries widget.
- Modify system settings (optional) only so the Control Center can change screen brightness and rotation lock.
- Biometrics only to open apps you chose to lock. Your fingerprint never leaves the phone's own secure hardware and is never seen by the app.
- Set wallpaper so the wallpaper you pick can also become your lock screen's.
- Ask to uninstall apps so you can remove an app from its menu; Android always asks you to confirm.
- Internet only for the weather and the wallpaper gallery described above.
Android asks you for the sensitive ones, and you can withdraw any of them at any time in your phone's settings. The app keeps working with whatever you allow.
Files you create yourself
When you export or back up from inside the app, the file is written wherever you choose, using Android's own file picker. From that moment the file is an ordinary document under your control, and anything you do with it, such as putting it in a cloud drive or sending it to someone, is outside the app and outside this policy.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays until you remove it. You can delete individual entries or clear everything from inside the app, and uninstalling Frosted Glass removes its database and settings from the phone. Because nothing is ever uploaded, there is no copy anywhere else for us to delete on request.
Children
Frosted Glass is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age, since we collect nothing at all.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data held by a company. We hold none: your data never leaves your device, so you already have complete and direct access to all of it, you can correct or delete any of it in the app, and the export feature gives you a portable copy. There is no request to make of us, and nothing we could disclose about you even if we were compelled to.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date at the top will change. Material changes will also be described in the Google Play release notes.
